1. Who we are
Kampala Auto Sourcing (“we”, “us”) is a vehicle sourcing and import-coordination service based in Kampala, Uganda. These terms apply whenever you use our website or engage us to help source a vehicle.
2. Our role: broker, not seller
We do not own, sell, purchase, or ship vehicles ourselves. We help identify vehicles from third-party overseas exporters, calculate estimated landed costs, and coordinate with a licensed clearing agent for customs clearance. The purchase transaction for the vehicle itself takes place directly between you and the overseas exporter — we are not a party to that sale.
3. Landed cost estimates
Figures shown on our website or provided in a quote — including duty, VAT, withholding tax, levies, and inspection fees — are estimates based on published Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) rates at the time of calculation. Actual amounts payable are determined solely by URA and relevant government bodies at the time of import, and may differ. We recommend confirming final figures with URA or your clearing agent before making a purchase decision.
4. Listings and availability
Vehicles shown as available are subject to change without notice — a specific unit may be sold before a deal is confirmed. Our “Models we source” catalog reflects the types of vehicles we can generally source, not guaranteed current inventory.
5. Fees and payment
Our commission or service fee is agreed with you before work begins on a specific request, and is separate from the vehicle purchase price, freight, duty, and clearing costs, all of which are your responsibility as the buyer. Payment terms, deposit amounts, and refund conditions for our service fee will be set out in your invoice or agreement for that specific deal.
6. Your responsibilities
- Providing accurate information about your requirements and budget.
- Making payments to exporters and clearing agents as agreed directly with them.
- Confirming vehicle condition, specification, and documentation to your satisfaction before completing a purchase.
7. Limitation of liability
While we take care in selecting exporters and clearing agents to work with, we do not guarantee the condition, specification, or delivery timeline of any vehicle, as these are ultimately controlled by third parties. We are not liable for losses arising from delays, disputes, or issues with an exporter, shipping line, or clearing agent, beyond our own coordination role.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
